Pink Saturday... Ballet Pink..

I love ballet. I don't dance except for the Texas Two-step and the Polish Polka... but I LOVE Ballet. There is nothing more graceful than a ballerina dancing... I've passed that love on to all three daughters...

This picture of Marilyn is in a group of photos called "The Ballerina Series". Do you suppose Marilyn loved the ballet too? My oldest daughter had this picture hanging in her room when she was a teenager...

along with a number of pictures of pink ballet slippers...

and dancers...

and now, the Panda is a little ballerina...

so I searched the internet for some photographs

to put together a little pink ballerina collage for her...

pink ballet slippers...

toe shoes...

because The Panda loves ballet too...

Happy Pink Saturday... Just dreaming about the dance down here in French Lique...

Thank you to Miss Beverly at How Sweet the Sound, who sponsors Pink Saturday every week. Please visit her blog and link to over 100 other participants who love pink and post it every Pink Saturday.

I'll be taking a little break this afternoon, just going to slip into something comfortable like this old housedress... watching "Gone With The Wind"... for the umpteenth time... fiddle-dee-dee...

What a dress to slip into Miss Dixie! Oohlala! Love it! LOVE your pink share! My daughter also loved ballet slippers, and we both love BALLET! We love to see the Nutcracker performed every year. I have a pair of Nutcracker Ballet Pink Toe Shoes (Originals) that I purchased after one of the presentations at the Hershey, PA ballet Christas Nutcracker presentation one Holiday. Well...Dixie Chick...gotta go for now! ~Hope you didn't eat too much popcorn in that frilly dress! ~CC Catherine

I adore the ballet and these pics are wonderful. I had two sons and two grandsons so no toe shoes in my house but God smiled down on me and my son married a ballerina who had a little ready made granddaughter. I love to watch them perform! Isn't it wonderful to live in Texas - this week has been gorgeous weather. :)Nancy
PS Did you know there's a French Lick, Indiana? Yep, I've been there...hometown of Larry Bird!

Did we all dream of being a ballerina? It was a long time before I realized that I am not graceful enough for ballet, but I always loved imaging that I could twirl with the best of em! Beautiful pictures. Love your "house dress"! laurie
