We got a little behind on our garden picking this weekend...due to other obligations... along with about 3 inches of rain that occurred between Friday evening and Sunday morning... Normally, Ricky picks the garden every evening.. but sometimes... life interferes with routine...
So Sunday evening... this was the daily harvest... yellow crooked-neck squash (my favorite!) and lots of round (globe) zucchini... yummy! I adore the beautiful colors of fresh vegetables from the garden... and how 'bout that blue Texas sky?We gathered, sorted... separated and bagged...and along with ourselves... our friends, family and coworkers will reap the bounty of our harvest...
I wish you were here... I'd be glad to share... Drop by and bring a grocery bag...
Enjoying the blessings of rain and the garden harvest...

That squash looks wonderful.
We got a good rain over here in east Texas recently too. I'm growing squash, but nothing to eat yet.

Hi Dixie! I'm sorry I'm not close by, too! I love fresh veggies! I had so many cucumbers when I planted my first garden that I think my neighbors started pulling the shades and locking the door when they saw me coming with a big ol' grocery sack full! Can you say...pickles??? lol Have a great week!...hugs...Debbie
Harvest Time!!! I can't wait to get some squash from our garden. It will be awhile because we just planted last week.
I have never seen globe zucchuni! Those look incredible. Looks like you could fry one of those up really easy. I will have to try to find some of those seeds for next year.
Oh what a bountiful harvest. Wish I was there. Looks so good. Hugs, Marty
Your veggies look like art in your photos! I wish I could drop by and get a to go bag! Lucky familyl, friends, and co-workers! laurie
What a lovely crop and the garden looks so lush and happy. This weather is fantastic! I am heading down to MIL's at sunrise in the morning to do some weeding. This evening I picked a large bowl of green beans.
Wish I lived closer,
Candy
That is amazing. I am such a ditz in the garden.

This just makes me hungry for fried squash or even better...squash cassarole!
Thank goodness my grocer gets a lot of produce from local farmers.

i would love to have a garden but I wouldn't eat anything that grew out of my yard. There are way too many creepy crawlies here!!!!! Spiders of alls sorts.. you name the critter this florida yard has it!
Your veggies look wonderful! Here in the corn, I'm only dreaming of veggies as our vegetables are just starting to bloom☺
I love zucchini! I have only one tiny squash so far, my garden just isn't doing much. I'd love to receive some of your vegetables-enjoy them!
Hey Dixie, I went to the store today looking for some of those seeds for that round zucchini and I couldn't find any around here in WV. I really hate to ask but could you send me some of those seeds and I'll send you the money for them? I would really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Angela

I congrat you proving things ARE bigger in TX!
Holey moley, you and your weather are so far ahead of Ohio!!! Looks good enough to eat! :) Seriously, you have a bounty of gorgeous squash there. I can't garden, I only cultivate bugs. So I rely on generous pals to take pity on me :'( or I beg.... LOL Sue
What a great harvest, Dixie!
