Pink Cowgirl Boots? whatcha think?

When I was a little girl, I was "GrandDaddy's Girl". I liked helping him with chores on the farm. I helped feed the chickens, the pigs and the cows. I helped pick in the garden, and I made GrandDaddy mud pies for lunch quite often. I liked wearing my pink cowgirl boots while I was workin' on the farm... I liked pink boots...

When I got older, I went for red boots. Dale Evans wore red cowgirl boots, and I like dressin' up like Dale on Saturday mornin' before I watched the Roy Rogers show with GrandDaddy. Then, we'd have a snack and go outside to do our chores...

But, I finally grew up and thought my cowgirl boots had to be fancier... since I was all grown up and fancier myself. I moved to town; I didn't have to worry about gettin' my boots dirty any more... so I wore white boots a lot of the time... to match my white Stetson hat...

But then I married Ricky and moved back out to the country. Now I have chores again. I feed the chickens, the pigs and the cows... and I pick in the garden; but Ricky don't want no mud pies... so I went back to my pink boots... cause they're so girly... at least these have pink "uppers", better for gettin' dirty when you're doin' them chores... These are some fine pink boots!

I'm thinkin about gettin some more pink boots for the Rodeo. I saw these purdy pink boots on the internet and I really liked the way they looked... I've been lookin on line, at western stores and on ebay. I've been to the western stores at the big strip malls, and tried on a pair or two... one thing about new boots....

they're purdy... but they're a little stiff and not that comfortable right at first.
But I like these pink boots... and if I get 'em, I'll probably save 'em just to wear to the Rodeo...
These are nice... and they have sparklers on them... I'd sure stand out in the crowd...
hummmm.... on second thought, I think I'll just keep my old boots for now... they're not pink and they're not purdy... but they sure feel good on my feet when I'm doin' chores around the farm...
Now, for more Pink Saturday posts, why don't you just mozy on over to Miss Beverly's blog, How Sweet the Sound...

She's got lots of folks over there that like pink too and they like to post purdy pictures of pink stuff every Saturday mornin'....

We'll just be sittin' here on the front porch watchin' time go by, down here in French Lique...
