Silver Sunday... A Shiny New Life!

Found at a bargain price... in need of polish... a coffee pot with a broken handle and an unattached lid... and a lidless sugar bowl.. in need of adoption is what I thought...

I know a lot of you Silver Girls love tarnish... I just ain't one of 'em...

here's the "Before"...

good bones...

fabulous feet... and beautiful tray...

and the "After"...

gleaming...

sparkling...

loved and cared for...

A shiny new life for a neglected old girl...
We love our shiny silver... down here in French Lique!

I'm joining sweet Beth for Silver Sunday again this week... If you love silver and want to see more... visit Beth at Gypsy Fish Journal... the participants are on her sidebar... you'll love what you see...

  1. Funny...I have pieces that I MUST polish and others that I keep tarnished...

I wonder why we feel the way we do?

Either way, tarnished or gleaming...your set is divine!

  3. That's a beautiful service! Even thought I don't mind tarnished pieces, I like the service polished better. Maybe that's because of the elegant shape of the pieces.
    Have a lovely Silver Sunday!

  6. Now I do agree with you on this...that set looks wonderful polished! I normally like unpolished "dirty" silver, but a set like this needs to shine, and it does ever so! Happy SS

  14. That turned out beautifully! My mom was a great one for taking home the neglected items that nobody else wanted. She ended up with some lovely treasures for her home. I learned to always take a second look...

    Blessings!

  20. Good bones in deed. Did you put Lili to work on those? And her pillows, do we get a sneak peek before you put them in the booth? And to your earlier question...YES~I loved the bodacious blooms on the seat covers...FAB!!!
Terry and I are meeting at our booth for the monthly money exchange ;-/
What happened to our sunshine??? Is there any down there in French Lique?

  24. I love blogland and dreaming of beautiful things...
Terry and I off on a new adventure with our mall face lift.
Collecting things for a gazebo and dreaming of days of sunshine to work outside...
Just came in from walking in the mist...no gorillas here in Wim...checking on a burn pile that is still smoldering from the day's work.
    I love being outside!!!
