Silver Sunday... A Shiny New Life!

Found at a bargain price... in need of polish... a coffee pot with a broken handle and an unattached lid... and a lidless sugar bowl.. in need of adoption is what I thought...

I know a lot of you Silver Girls love tarnish... I just ain't one of 'em...

here's the "Before"...

A shiny new life for a neglected old girl...

    Funny...I have pieces that I MUST polish and others that I keep tarnished...

    I wonder why we feel the way we do?

    Either way, tarnished or gleaming...your set is divine!

    That's a beautiful service! Even thought I don't mind tarnished pieces, I like the service polished better. Maybe that's because of the elegant shape of the pieces.

    Now I do agree with you on this...that set looks wonderful polished! I normally like unpolished "dirty" silver, but a set like this needs to shine, and it does ever so! Happy SS

    That turned out beautifully! My mom was a great one for taking home the neglected items that nobody else wanted. She ended up with some lovely treasures for her home. I learned to always take a second look...

    Psst...I am a member of the polished train too...don't tell anybody...I got a rep to protect. I love the way it looks almost white when it's polished up perfect.

    I like my silver polished, too! Maas is now my polish of choice. What a beautiful set once it is polished! And there is nothing like a silver tea set!

    Good bones in deed. Did you put Lili to work on those? And her pillows, do we get a sneak peek before you put them in the booth? And to your earlier question...YES~I loved the bodacious blooms on the seat covers...FAB!!!

    Collecting things for a gazebo and dreaming of days of sunshine to work outside...
    Just came in from walking in the mist...no gorillas here in Wim...checking on a burn pile that is still smoldering from the day's work.

    My oldest pieces I keep tarnished, I love the soft glow. Newer pieces I shine. But it all works, it is all good. Yours are all beautiful.
