It's so hot here in south Texas... my evening walks have had to move to morning walks... our house sits at the corner of two country roads... we have no sidewalks... so taking a walk means... a walk down a country road...
"Good morning flag... it's always nice to see you flying... "
"Did you say.... mmmmooooooove?
a greeting from a neighbors front gate... native Texas flowers...
Ricky's cousin has a tractor collection... we noticed he'd added a John Deere green this year to his Fords and Farmalls... They're out to greet us for the July holiday...
and Uncle's cattle... finding shade so early... it's already 80-degrees !
The hay was cut and bailed a couple of weeks ago... now it's out to dry before going to the hay barn...
"Hey horsey... "
Did you say "hay"?
and now... back to the porch... where this little fellow is playing "coy"...
pretending not to notice that big feeder full of nectar...
but he couldn't resist for long...
ahhhhh... morning coffee... sitting on the porch after a nice long walk... and catching up with a few blogging buddies... now that's a nice morning to share... down here in French Lique...
What a great porch to blog from! It's plenty hot here in North Texas too!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

Hello Dixie,
ReplyDeleteThe only way I ever went to "So God are you listening," was from your profile page....after you visited me I thought well, I must be nuts...I had my husband look with me on your profile page and it is not listed......it does not matter, I just didn't see it on your profile page and I know it was between you and God but it was real, honest, and sweet
I also meant to tell you, I like your beautiful header

Dixie ~ Thanks for stopping by. Glad to know you're still checking in. Of course she wants your help, you have the best porch in all of French Lique.
ReplyDeleteYour morning walk looks like a great way to start the day!

Ahhh, so relaxing.

It would be so much fun to take a morning walk with you. Lots to see. Love those native Texas flowers. What are they?
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally we also took an early morning walk with our new pup - her first citywalk ever since she has always lived on a ranch and took herself for walks! What a beautiful, peaceful place for a walk and isn't it wonderful returning to that first cup of coffee? Stay cool, Dixie. xoxo Nancy
ReplyDeleteWish I could walk with you. Would be fun to share the heat and make up stories.
ReplyDeleteFun tractor collection and all the animals you met on that country road walk.
Noticed your discussion with Debbie about your God blog...it went away around the time your made your new B&W blog. I just thought you were changing focus.
See ya in the morning.
Candy
Great walk! Thanks for including us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, serene and peaceful...
ReplyDeleteAhhh, thanks so much for sharing!
Hugs,
Lynn♥
Thanks for taking me on your morning walk. I would love to walk, but since I live on HWY 51 a main Hwy from town to town here., it is to dangerous to walk the road...
ReplyDeleteSo I will enjoy walking with you. It looks so quite and peaceful there.
Molly
What a beautiful way to start your day! Loved seeing the cows and horse. It's hot everywhere, it's been 82-85 degrees when I get up at 4:30! Before long, we'll have to walk at 3 am lol. Have a great week. Kathy
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your neck of the woods...that hummingbird is precious!
