I hope we can use our natural resources to their fullest extent in the near future. I wouldn't mind a wind turbine in my back yard!!

Great photos for our theme!!

Have a great WW!!! Dana

I was at Niagara Falls in the dead of winter. BRRR all I can remember was wanting to get back inside. Wish we could power everything with wind and water. Have a wonderful Wednesday. SHHHHHH :)Nancy

Those sleek, modern windmills are so fascinating. I remember seeing some at a distance when we were traveling in Wyoming a few years ago. I really wanted a close up look.

We have a lot of wonderful wind mills around us...they are quite fascinating, I think. And i love the shot you have Dixie~with the sun peeping through....

We have a painting of an old European windmill. In the painting it is being used, as the name suggests, to mill grain harnessing the power of the wind. It is such a romantic painting, I could step right into it! I love windmills even the the modern ones. Our neighbour has a windmill to generate power for their home. It makes an interesting whirring noise on a windy day! Thanks for sharing these photos!

Great choices for this week. I love the sound that wind turbines make, it's really quite haunting. And Niagra falls is just so awe inspiring. Thanks for hosting. Kathy

Spectacular shots of the windmills and the falls. I've seen the windmills outside of Palm Springs, but they are not in as beautiful a setting as these! Happy WW. :-) Sue

The huge wind turbins are always so fascinating. They seem like they're moving so slow, but in reality they are generating a lot of electricity. Love the falls. Just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

One of this days...I want to see this in person. And hear the roar!
(just wish we could have a drop or two flowing in our creeks.

Every time we go to L.A. we pass windmills like these. I never thought about photographing them. I must do that some time. I've never been to Niagara Falls. Great shot of it.
Happy W.W.

Beautiful pics! When we travel home from visiting my son in NY, some of those wind turbines pop up through the mountains, they always creep me out, they remind me of the movie, "War of the Worlds". Weird, huh? So it's nice to see them looking "pretty" in your picture!

I LOVE Niagara Falls, so lovely! I was there a few years ago, and would love to go back and see the Canadian side!

Have a lovely day!
Margie :)

Great pictures! I visited Niagra Falls once in 1976. Wow! That was a long time ago. Also, the recent trip we just took, we drove over Altamont Pass. There are a ton of those wind turbines in that area.
Happy Wednesday!!

Great pictures, Dixie! When I looked at the picture of what I assume is Niagara Falls, it struck me how small the people are in comparison to the magnificent falls... what a wonderful Creator- who loves and died for us little guys!

Happy WW!

New wallpaper looks great!

The first time I ever saw one of those windmills I about 13 and it was in California. I thought they looked so peaceful.

Hey Dixie!

You sure have been busy changing your headers everytime I look at your blog! They are all beautiful! It would be hard to pick a favorite one.

I just love the windmills! And we just have a facination with waterfalls too! All of the water and wind pictures on my post are in West Virginia!
