It's raining in south Texas...
We've been waiting a long time for a day like today...
Gentle rain that washes everything clean... Rain that makes everything seem so green and bright... You can almost hear the earth say.... Aaahhhhhh... The blessing of rain down here in French Lique.
It has been WONDERFUL today for sure!
ReplyDeleteI would say DEVINE! That's what we say here...just a little North of French Lique.
Hope you and Ricky have an awesome weekend.
Cheers from me and GENEIEVE!
April showers bring May flowers.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the soft gentle rain, the life giving liquid from above. I know you were so happy to get it. Aren't y'all in a dought area?

I love rain more than any other kind of weather which is why it is strange that I ended up in the desert.

A year and a half in Monterey has turned me permanently against rain and clouds. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe had torrential rain for a while this morning, but it eventually slowed to a steady, soaking rain. A blessing indeed. Kathy
ReplyDeleteWe got a sweet little rain yesterday...and then it started again today and then snow...wet, mushy, I hate spring snows cause they are wet and mushy and slushy...and it is too warm to really stick....so it's awful....OTOH, I work in a metal building and that rain tomorrow just about sent me to sleep yesterday!
ReplyDeleteWe've been getting good rains this spring, too...and boy have we needed them. :-) Susan
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty photos of the rain. It makes me want to be there.
ReplyDeleteI too am from South Texas. I look forward to visiting again,
Come see me-

Hello Dixie, What wonderful photos of the rain, Happy Weekend, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the rain you needed, Dixie! We've been fortunate cause we have been getting a lot of rain and the plants are looking good!...Christine
ReplyDeleteRaining in North Texas too!!! Was drizzling as I started visiting your blog....just looked out and it is really raining. Yesterday it downpoured and uprooted some trees in town! The grasses are trees and plants are lovin it!!! Only bad thing is I just mowed the 2 acres and now when the sun comes out it is going to go wild and will need mowing again too soon! UGH!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Dixie!
ReplyDeleteDear, sweet Dixie.....
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about feeling like an orphan. My daughter's having surgery on Friday and I thought today.....Whoa.....this is the first time I'll have to go through something like this without my Mum. She was always so much support.
RAIN.........I LOVE it, but I'm from the NW and we tend to get a bit too much. I'm so happy for you though.
Big smooshy hugs,
Spencer
Hi Dixie-
ReplyDeleteI laughed OUT LOUD when I read about the earrings and HEB.
