Calling all Texas Gals...Market Days at Wimberley, Texas

Candy from Rock Candy and I... Dixie here at French Lique... have decided that it would be great fun to go shopping together at Wimberley Market Days on Saturday, April 4th. We're inviting all our blogger gal pals to join us!

If you're not familiar with Wimberley, let me fill you in! Wimberley Market Days, sponsored by the Wimberley Lion's Club, is the oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country and the second-largest in the state (second only to Canton). They have over 475 booths of everything you can’t live without. You can stroll through the tree-shaded paths, listen to live music and shop to your heart’s content.

If you've read my blog for a long time, you may remember me posting about my most recent trip there last December... just before the Lion's club took their winter break... But they are back and in full force!

Candy and I invite you to join us... whether you live near or far! We'll make plans to meet, shop, eat and shop some more! Wear your comfortable shoes and bring that little rolling cart you have! There are wonderful treasures to be found!

Just email one of us or leave us a post here, and let us know you'd like to join in. We'll let you know when and where to meet for our day of flea market shopping and fun!

Blessings from right down here in French Lique... Dixie

  1. So is this a monthly event like Canton with a break in the winter? I used to go to Canton a lot when I lived in Texarkana, but it's been years. I've been threatening to take some of my friends from here in Birmingham over to Canton one month. We just have to hop on I-20 and to.

  4. Canton is really called "First Monday" and it goes from the Thursday before...thru the Sunday before the first Monday of every month (does that make sense?).

Wimberley Market Days is only on the first Saturday of every month except January and February.

    Canton... just east of Dallas...
Wimberley... South of Austin/West of San Marcos... Hope ya'll come!

  6. Oh Dixie.....I so would want to go but it is a 4.5 hour drive that I just can't make at this time. :( Hubby and I are going to be planning a trip to Fredricksburg in the next couple of months. It seems like a lot of gals might be able to make a Canton trip....maybe you all can plan Canton for the near future!!!! Maybe in May or June. Wimberley looks awesome....and the countryside there is so beautiful...so sorry to miss this. Thank you for the invite. Bigs hugs, Cheryl
