Where in the heck is French Lique, Texas????

Where in the heck is French Lique, Texas????

Boy! Do I get asked that question a lot! You know, in the age of Google, Mapsco, Mapquest, Yahoo Maps... you'd think people could figure that out!

I know, I know... you've already googled and you can't find it! You've pulled out your Texas road map and there's no French Lique listed.

You've found French Lick, Indiana... but no sister city, French Lique, Texas.

I mean really Dixie! What's the deal?!

With so many wondering... you know... you've seen the comments...

I thought I'd do the very least I could do (yes, you read that phrase correctly), and put the information link on my sidebar.

So, if "Where the heck is French Lique" has been a burning question for you, please feel free to link via my sidebar and find out... Now and forever, the mystery is solved.
Hey... here we are... right there that little red spot in the county...
Just sittin' on the front porch with a big grin on my face down here in French Lique...

  2. Oh my! Who wouldn't want to visit in French Lique??? :-) I love it. I kind of love any fantasy and well... This one is even set in the Deep South of TX. So, of course I have to love it. ,-) Shivering as I am, up here in Yankee Land. -sigh-

Mmmm, the reason for French Lique - that ding-dang highway. Would that be the *dear* highway, which will link Mexico, US and Canada? The one which will cut right through our Beloved United States? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Needless to say, Aunt Amelia is not enamoured of it.

  4. And hearty congratulations for finding a smiling picture of Einstein! His photos always show a non smiling man, who looks rather sad and etc. But you found a smiling one! :-)

  8. This is so funny. I was born in Olin,Tx, the highway took this town out, and then I grew up in White Settlement,Tx. It is still there and people don't believe me when I tell them it's a real town. Great post. Hugs, Marty

I can see you are a LOOOOONG way from my part of Texas...and the name of YOUR town sounds, oh, i dunno, more romantic than the sound of MY town so I am trying to come up with a cooler name for mine, too!! ;>)
