Welcome to French Lique

I was reading a book this week by Laura Lippman, and the characters were traveling through French Lick, Indiana. I love that name!
Now, the great state of Texas has decided to put a highway though our little town. They call it the Texas Corridor Highway, and it runs right through the middle of Texas, from Oklahoma to Mexico....
So, once they put a highway through our livingroom, I've decided we'll just have to move somewhere else out in the country.
We'll build a little house, and a new little town, and we'll name it French Lique. Stay tuned for more.

  3. I thought they had scratched that project due to all the unhappy people. Is it still going through? With all the empty spaces in Texas couldn't they go around your town? Good luck...hope you don't have to move.

  4. Hi Dixie, we understand your pain about the road thru your living room. When you come to our "junque with a Q" sale we will fill you in on our on-going fight with tx-dot here in New Braunfels. We have won some loosing battles but the fight isn't over yet. We may be able to join forces and have some fun too.
