Framed by the Skates....

Not the best photos... but you get the idea... right? I've been a little under the weather with a cold this week and had to cancel a flea market trip with Candy because of it... so I decided to post something that I'd actually accomplished in the past week...

I wrote about finding the ice skates and some of the ideas I'd seen for them... Here...

and here it is... My Goodwill ice skates framed with an old square frame from Beverly's Glory B's Cottage...
I love the way it turned out!
I'd seen a photo of skates with fold over socks and I liked the way it looked... since I'd purchased a red sweater to create a pillow for my sofa, I decided to cut off the sleeves to create the fold over socks...

and a photo of my Christmas nose-gay that greets visitors in the entryway...
Welcoming Christmas a little at a time...
Down here in French Lique...

and I'm linking to Pink Saturday because Beverly knows that RED is almost PINK!

  1. Dixie! How clever to use the sweater for 'socks.' We would never have known if you had not shared this secret. Thanks! Now to go through my husband's sweaters and see what I can use...

  7. What a great idea to frame skates!

I'm doing better, day by day, bit by bit. I still have a way to go, though. Thanks for asking.
