okay... well not really trash... just seriously rustic when found...
but it had potential...
I can't leave it like this... I just have to polish...
and now look... treasure...
I'm always amazed at what a little silver polish and some "elbow-grease" can do...
found at Twice Blessed in San Marcos, Texas...
full service for 8... and a fabulous flatware chest...
I've got a long way to go... and I haven't even looked up the pattern...
but I am in love with vintage silver...
and this was a thrifty find... $50...
thanks to my sister, Lili, for digging to the bottom of the pile and pulling it out...
now I'm off to continue the buffing process...
down here in French Lique...
I'm joining Thrifty Thursday in Bloggeritaville...
and
Colorado Lady for Vintage Thingies Thursday...
Hi
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find and it is so pretty shined up. I like dark silver too but not when it goes in my mouth!
Have fun
Blessings

Beautiful...and the box too! that was a great find!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of polishing to do, but looks like it will be worth it. Silver is so pretty if you did not have to polish.
ReplyDeleteAmazing at how pretty this turned out...I know you are thrilled with your latest find...I sure would be too...and what fun transforming it with some silver polish too. Call me crazy but I love polishing silver! :)

What a great find! There is something very satisfying about polishing tarnished silver, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI do love silver and the sense of accomplishment after it is so pretty and shiny!! Great find
ReplyDeleteGreat silver pieces. Most folks, myself included are too lazy to polish silver. It is lovely all polished up and shinning. Have a super duper Friday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What do you use to polish?
