Welcome to the porch party at French Lique... and when you finish partying here... drop over to Rhondi's and see all the other nice folks participating in Rhondi's Porch Party for Summer 2011...
The flowers are all in bloom and inviting you in... and here's a chair for you... I just painted it yesterday morning...
or maybe you'll like this seat better... you get to choose.
The table has been set with all the things you like... lots of vintage china, silver, and depression glass... and a pretty vase of pure white roses...
Don't these say Porch Party to you? How about a bowl full of strawberries or maybe a bowl of cherries? Go ahead... take one... they're delicious!
Here's that artsy shot you've been waiting for... a guest's eye view...

Yep... that porch furniture painted a nice cottage white.. just divine...
Would you like a glass of Saint Gen's White Zin? See a cake plate can also serve as a nice bar tray for some pretty wine glasses...
Then after lunch... we'll mozy on over to the shady end of the porch for a little afternoon tea... Nice and shady and ready for us to while away the afternoon... chatting and drinking some lovely Raspberry tea... One lump or two? I love sitting here and listening to the wind chimes... or maybe even taking a summer afternoon nap...But today we're just too busy to sleep... Here... how 'bout a sip... Ricky got this pretty vintage china for me at an estate auction... it's called Coralbel...
Well... I'm still waiting... but no body's here? I'm sure the invitations said 11:30 a.m. sharp for lunch! Oh no! The invitations! Did I forget to mail them? I've just been so busy painting?!
Oh well... I'll pour myself another glass of nice cool wine and sit here and daydream for a while... It's a good thing I forgot to cook too!
Guess I'll tuck my little pretties away... until next time...Maybe Candy and BJ will come over early and help me get organized for our next Porch Party...
I love a porch party... down here in French Lique...

Your porch looks so lovely and I just adore how you set the table. So many pretty things. Happy Summer
Quick, pour me a glass of that awesome looking wine!! I did get my invite...and I'm HERE!!!
Ohhh...I do love the vintage cottagey feel of your porch...and these comfy pillows on the chairs and settee are lovely!
It's hot here in your parts, Dixie. When we get finished with our visit in Texas, we must hustle up to KC....we've had some heat, but today is perfect. There's a breeze and temps are staying in the 80s. We've had lots of rain, too, so our grass is lush (just wait til August..it won't be so pretty, then).
I love raspberry tea, but I think I'm sticking with that wine. Delish....and so is the company!

PS My new little table and chairs need a new coat of paint, but we're into black here! :)
I love your porch and wish I was really at that afternoon porch party. Everything looks so pretty and comfortable and inviting. :o) Sue
Such an inviting looking area. I would love to sit and chat. Very pretty and so comfy looking. Hugs, Marty
Love your new old tea set and your porch looks so inviting. Porches are great places for naps, too, it all draws us to slow down and sit a spell.
Oh so pretty, Dixie! I love the dishes too. Your benches look so comfy. Are they gliders?...Christine
they ARE gliders Christine... good catch! I've just finished painting them cottage white... I think they look great!
Golly Gee...love it all my friend. I hope once some of our home-transformation is done I can have a pretty porch. Right now it's full of yard debris and construction junk. So depressing! You'll NEVAH see that! :( Tee Hee......
Beautiful!

♫♪♫ O, I wish I was in the land of DIXIE...♫♪
yes, ma'am...I KNOW it's "land of cotton" but I'd rather be there, on that pretty porch, with a BIG ole glass of wine and strawberries floating in it, with DIXIE, down there in French Lique, Texas (I just LUV saying that!!)

Oh, and I stuff those little peppers with scrambled, lean ground beef and onions, all the fav. spices, cheese, and wrap the end with bacon. You can't get much stuffing in those long, slender peppers but, o, they taste so good.
Your porch is so sweet!!! I love it! After seeing all of your pretties here, I would say you should paint those Peacock chairs in that lovely pink of the vase that is on the table. What do you think?
Hugs, Cindy
