  1. Hey Dixie!

Thanks for sharing all of those beautiful flowers that you have there at French Lique! They are just gorgeous! I hate to admit it but it is prettier there than it is here in West Virginia at the time.

My husband had to travel to Houston today. He is stuck on a bus at the airport due to flooding! He has no food! And there is no food on the bus! Poor guy! He does have his gum though.

Hope you have a Wonderful Week!

  2. Those wildflowers are so pretty! The pink ones are my favorite, what are they called? We have only been to Texas once, drove down from KC to Dallas for a seminar and I remember how beautiful the landscape was.

  3. Hey Dixie, there is no place prettier than Texas in the spring. We can grow indian paintbrush and buttercups with abandon in OK but not the beautiful bluebonnets.

  10. Very pretty, Dixie! I love wildflowers. I see them along the side of the road and I want to dig them up to plant them around the gazebo, lol. Is it illegal?...Christine

  11. Hi Dixie,
French Lique must be a wonderfully beautiful place. When you can drive by fields of wild flowers and old post fence and lovely farmland, then you are in the right place!

  12. Hi Dixie:

I enjoyed your flower pix! I'm signed up for the June Paper Cowgirl event and am visiting blogs. I have seen your blog before while linking through other Texas blogs.

I took a day last week and went out on a flower run--from The Woodlands to Brenham and back home via 105 through Conroe. I had so much fun shooting photos!

I look forward to meeting you in June. I've just launched a creative blog of my own (I've been blogging a year about animal rescue) I invite you to come visit me at "El Rancho Not So Grande"!

I'm taking a break from the insanity of workmen and came home to get on the computer. I haven't been blogging because I come in beat. Just needed some time today to visit. Hope all is well in French Lique. I plan to be blogging again soon and will check in when I do.

    Love you, girl...

  20. Oh my goodness, Dixie. The flowers are beautiful. I am so Texas homesick after viewing your gorgeous pics.
Garden flowers a wonderful in Georgia, but the wildflowers not so much. Texas truly rules as #1 in regards to wildflowers.
