A Tweet and A Glass Box...

I'm joining Diane for Second Time Around Tuesday... Drop by and see who else is playing!

I can't resist stopping by my favorite Salvation Army Store when I'm on the South Side of San Antonio... and there... last week... I found these...

two little Tweets... 49-cents each... couldn't pass that one up...

When Sweet Sister was here a few weeks ago... we thrifted Goodwill and I found this... missing one of it's ball feet and the ball on top.. didn't bother me any... 99-cents... Sweet Sister said... "what will you do with that broken thing?"

so can you guess where I'm going here?

yep... a perfect combination... now this is just a tease... you'll have to come back later to see the finished product...

Then yesterday at a meeting, one of my co-workers slipped and commented about something I'd said on my blog... huuummmmm... a co-worker lurker... I didn't tell her I KNEW she'd been lurking... Won't she be surprised when she sees this!

Love ya Margie!

Wondering who else is lurking out there in French Lique???????

  1. Lurkers...beware! She will be surprised.
Busy! No time for the fun stuff. Taking MIL to the salon for a perm and then the nail show for both hands and feet. She is going to be 92 on Friday and vanity hangs on tight! While I wait for the curls to form, I'm popping into Dripping Springs to meet a D.S. friend (haven't seen in about a year)at the senior thrift store. Hoping to find some cheapies for the gazebo. No we haven't started on that project yet. Sunshine and time just don't come at the same time.
Looking forward to the nesting project forming under glass ;-)

  2. OHHHHHHH...that's too funny about Margie the Lurker! :) I have lots of friends who read my blog and don't leave messages....cuz they always have to tell me about the ones they enjoyed reading. I tell them to comment, but they still don't. I hope Margie will, however!! You sent her a great message! :)

I LOVED your little thrifty finds! I need to hit our thrift stores...lately, I haven't been hitting anything cept the couch. I'm feeling lots better....cough is almost gone, but I still can't be too far away from my box of tissues.

Have a great day! L, Dana

  4. Sooo, sounds like you found you found the one good thrift store in all of San Antonio! Seriously, I can't find a dern thing when I'm there! I have better luck in the wee smaller towns like Kerrville and elsewhere.

I still need to pay you a visit! :-)

  12. Yes, I have a few lurkers too. They say, "Oh, I saw that on your blog!" But, they never leave a comment.
Oh well, I guess it is a form of flattery.
I like what you did, she is so busted!

  13. A co-worker lurker! I love that. I work in an office of four and the others read my blog...but never comment on the posts except to me personally. I have had a couple women at church say things that suggest they've been lurking ~ makes me smile!

    Great post Dixie!
