Happy Thanksgiving

Sitting here, stuffed like a Thanksgiving Turkey... I have to say that today was one of the best Thanksgivings I've enjoyed in French Lique.
Not all of the family made it today, but 23 of us did... We had more desserts than vegetables...turkey... ham... and a few of Grandma's favorite recipes... a perfect Thanksgiving meal! Ricky's dad, now 85-years old, presided over the clan; after a difficult year medically, and we are blessed to have him with us...

Family... The very best part of any holiday... but... We don't pardon the turkey... down here in French Lique...

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving...

Talk about giving us the bird! That is one ugly face and yet we eat it! Go figure. You've been missed.
You are so blessed to still have your daddy with you. I miss mine at this time of the year. Give yours a hug from me, please.

Hey Dixie!

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with family! It was just my husband and the kids at our house this year but we've got company coming tomorrow to go hunting. That is one ugly turkey! lol We didn't pardon our turkey either!

Christmas is right around the corner!

I guess I didn't realize just how ugly the turkey really is! I love hearing that the table was presided over by an 85 year old...so nice.

My husband Rick caught the flu last Thursday and decided to pass it on to me...so we missed the gathering, but they brought us a plate and we were "thankful" I missed all 25 of them.
My mom and dad are in their eighties and have health problems too, it was hard to miss out but you don't want to pass out flu germs. I am thankful so many were able to enjoy the holiday with their family. I had to cancel Christmas last year and that was really wierd. I decorated for day's and only my husband saw it. bummer.
Loved you picture of the turkey it only hurts to laugh lol.
Thanks for the sweet post Dixie.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving friend! Have missed visiting you. Life has just "got" to slow down. My work is on overdrive and with all my company, I keep finding less minutes in my day. I think of you all often and enjoy the moments I do get to come and visit. Hugs and "thanks so much" for being my blogging bud! ~CC Catherine
