  7. The pictures of all those cans is just mind boggling. One of my co-workers has contributed all of the Dr. Pepper cans! We do recycle, but I'm staring to think we should go back to the glass bottles that you return. Kathy

  22. Hi Dixie, Great photos, Happy Earth Day. I think we are pretty good at recycling here, but our son is the expert and when he visits he tells us how we can be even better at it :-), Kathy.

  25. Cool photos!
The second one reminds me of my kiddos, dragging a long line of milk jugs down the street to the recycle center:)
    Have a GREAT Earth Day.

  26. Hey dixie! Happy Earth Day!
Great shots but the cans and jugs really make a person think just how much "we" consume. I was raised "green" and never thought twice about recycling. Now we recycle anything we can and re-use, re-purpose and reinvent as much as we can.
Mother Earth is beautiful and I hope many will make the commitment to treat her like the lady she is.

  27. definitely timely photos!

I worked at a recycle company for a bit, so those bales of cans look too familiar...

  28. What were we thinking when we allowed them to do away with returnable bottles? Coke doesn't even taste the same in cans or plastic. Great pix. Debbie

  31. Thank you for the email. I like your pictures and one thing I am thankful is when they started to recycle. My wonderful granddaughter started us recycling, about 16 years ago, she came home from school one day and came up to me and said "grandma you need to start recycling" and we did. I hope you had a nice Earth Day.

  33. Great post....I have that many cans in my garage waiting for the neighbor kids to come and get them. I never get around to turning them in...so we donate them to the local school. I probably should just stop drinking so dang much soda lol

  34. I'm thinking I should go buy a water filter instead of using bottled water. That's a lot of trash!
