I love Norman Rockwell...his paintings truly need no words. Love the portraits in the first cover with the hands out of the frame. Have a wonderful week. xoxo Nancy

Terry may not be able to make Sat, we just have to wait and see.
Off to New Braunfels ukulele practice tomorrow.
Have fun, Candy
I keep forgetting to tell you how pretty the bluebonnets are. Love the old rusty fence too.

Bonjour

Love your gorgeous still life and the Post covers!
xo...Kathy
Well...resting by the bank of the river fishing and a glass of wine...sounds like a winning combo (as long as no power boats are involved!) LOL
Hi Dixie! This is my first time joining WW, and I'm excited!
Ooh, that glass of wine looked soooooooo cool and refreshing. Too bad I hate white wine. And red. LOL
Justine :o )
I love Norman, I think he is the greatest.
Hello Dixie, your still life is gorgeous I am about to have a glass of wine right now. I have not seen The Post/Norman Rockwell's before and I love them. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Kathy.

Justine :o )
Dixie,
Thank you for becoming a follower, I really am happy to have another Texas Gal!
Love the bluebonnets!!
Have a good day!!
Thanks for WW - I am surprised how many of the posts have such long descriptions - kind of takes the fun out of it - but I love the ones that just post and have nothing to say.
Thanks again.
I wish your WW posters would stop with all the words and follow your rules!
I love Norman Rockwell and Pachelbel's Cannon.
Sally and Peaceful... I agree... it kinda defeats the purpose when you explain.. the purpose is to post a photo that you don't have to explain!?
Kinda reminds me of that test in highschool where the teacher says be sure to read all the instructions first... the students dive right in to answering the questions and hand in their papers only to find out that the instructions said "write your name at the top of the page, don't answer any questions, just turn in the paper with your name and you'll get an "A"...
some folks just have trouble reading instructions...
Next week... I'm going to eliminate the instructions and see what happens...
sending out some love on WW.
Hi Dixie...
What a beautiful still life photo, my friend! It just makes me wanna be there and take a big ol' sip of some of that bubbly! I love all of old Saturday Evening Post magazine covers of Norman Rockwell...a classic!!!
Thank you so much for hosting "Wordless Wednesday", Dixie! This is my third time to participate...so much fun!!! I'll be sure to visit the other participants. Girl, I just have to say how much I enjoy seeing all of those Texas bluebonnets in your header photo. I just moved to Colorado about 8 yrs. ago...up from Corpus Christi...seeing all of the pretty bluebonnets sure makes me homesick for Texas! I think Spring time was my favorite down there...seeing all of the fields and roadsides just lined with all the wild flowers...soooo very beautiful!!! Thank you for a trip down memory lane, my friend!
Happy Wordless Wednesday...
Chari
Wow, I always seem like such a slacker putting up only one picture! I need to find a variety of images to use for this. Thanks Dixie. I have so much fun with this!
Dixie...I love your still life. It's so serene and just plain pretty. I couldn't decide which one to go with but I finally went with April Fool's. It's difficult not adding words isn't it? But I like the challenge....thanks for hosting!
Elaine :)
I finally find who hosts this so I could sign up! Great post-love Norman:)
Great choices for Wordless Wednesday! Your header is just gorgeous with the beautiful bluebonnets in front of the fence. Is that a photo you took?! Wonderful photography!
Dixie,
Great pics.
Thanks for hosting WW! :)

I just love Wordless Wednesday! It's a challenge to come up with a photo that doesn't need explanation. Seems like I met both your themes with my picture today. Hope you enjoy it. I LOVE Norman Rockwell art! And your table scene is so peaceful and sweet. Thanks again, Dixie!
Your still life is lovely, and I love the Rockwell covers. Couldn't help but notice the story in the 2nd one - "We must have steadier jobs" - the more things change . . . Kathy
