If you've visited here before, you know how much I love dinner time on the front porch... It's hard for me to pass up a comfortably cool sunny afternoon on the front porch... Today... afternoon coffee (decaf of course!) with my daughter... KJ...
My youngest daughter, KJ, loves china and lace... she's a very girlie-girl that loves to set the table for something special... or nothing special at all... While we both pick PINK as our favorite color... the vintage AQUA comes in a close second... Aren't those aqua napkins soooo pretty... and I found the ivory china napkin rings for 50-cents each at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago... perfect!

a few vintage pieces, mixed in with my Lenox Butterfly Meadow "Cloud" everyday china...
Doesn't this little salad plate remind you of Susan's Tablescape Logo?...
Doesn't this little salad plate remind you of Susan's Tablescape Logo?...
The dish is actually... get this...
Country Service Corp. Semi-Vitrious Dinnerware... Emerald... in the center.. a pretty white rose and rose buds...
and the Lenox Butterfly Meadow Cloud... (Lynne's post today has the color version of this china). I love the way my new aqua place mats have the scallop that mimics the china's scalloped edge...
My vintage coffeepot is Dogwood from Johnson Brothers England. I bought it 20 years ago in the Dallas area at one of my favorite antique malls... KJ's been trying to talk me into giving it to her for the past 3-years... Honey, it's in the will...
I love the Lenox matching coffee mugs... feminine and elegant!
and my centerpiece is a basket full of silk hydrangeas that I made a couple of years ago...
So if you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by for afternoon coffee or tea... Friends are always welcome down here in French Lique...

Beautiful table Dixie. I can see why your daughter has been trying to talk you out of that coffee pot, it's gorgeous. What a pretty, fresh spot for lunch! Kathy

Pretty pretty! If you are near a Target, check out their clearance as when I was at Target on Tuesday, they had 75% off a lot of things, including table linens☺
ReplyDeleteDixie it's cold here today but you've made me want to drag the patio table to the front porch LOL what a beautiful table setting!

Love those plates--the rose is gorgeous--and it goes so nicely with the teapot. I plan on using this same color scheme in the future; I need a few more items to finish it off. How nice that your daughter shares in your love of such beautiful things!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda

ReplyDeleteOutdoor dining... I'm in! Looks FAB!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this!!! I would love to have a front porch to eat out on. I love your Lenox dishes & the aqua one as well. Heck, I love everything.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table, Dixie!! I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait till the weather gets just a little bit warmer so we can have meals on the porch or patio. We love dining outdoors.
Great post!
Oh yes, almost time to dine outside BEFORE the beastly mosquitoes arrive - then it's into the screened gazebo pour moi!! I am so allergic to the little pests - any within a 50 mile range seem to want my blood, and then the bites swell up and itch for days! Do you have them there Dixie? If not I'll be over for tea very soon!!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Mary.
So cool of a table! I do love that aqua color to welcome in that beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteI'm here in Texas, too!
I'm now a follower, I hope you like my blog, too! Visit soon!

Susan
Oh pretty, I am jealous you have sunshine to do this with!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a peaceful setting and place to eat!
Linda Q
Dixie, thank you so much for the info about the lace tablecloth. I will try to find one like it. I love to sit on the patio and I have a neat table there that a beautiful "lace" tablecloth would just look wonderful on. What a thrill to know it's vinyl and could stand the outside weather. Thanks for visiting and the great information. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Dixie...I am laughing at your comment on Atlanta traffic! Yes, I had to drive through it every day coming and going to work...but now that I am retired, I stay in my little neighborhood as much as possible! I'll understand if you opt to do the same!! lol...Debbie
ReplyDeleteThat looks so strange to see that.My g.p.'s name is Dr.David Carlson.common name, huh?I have an award fro you. Will you come get it?...Ann
ReplyDeleteThis is heavenly!!! I can't wait to stop by...do I need reservations?! Every detail is just perfect! Your vintage pieces are lovely!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!
;-D
Oh my, such a beautiful setting. My sister has been collecting the Emerald pattern for years and I finally found the last plate she needed last week at a flea market for 1.00. She has total set, plates, bread plates, bowls, sugar, creamer, cups, saucers, soup bowls, platters, gravy bowl and 3 veg. bowls. all of it and has already willed it to her Grandaughter. We would love to find the salt and pepper set.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks great with the white peices. You are so talented at tablescapes. I do good to put a plate with a fork beside it, but 3 boys and a country boy husband doesn't go for the fancy...sigh....their happy with paper plates and plastic forks...lol...
Molly... thanks for your sweet comments. I had to laugh at your countryboy and paper plate comment... my Ricky is one of those too. When i set a beautiful table his only comment is 'what are we eatin'... you can take the boy out of the country but...
