more Scarlett O'Hara dresses... and a link!

This is my favorite Scarlett O'Hara dress... This is the dress that she wore to the Barbecue at the Wilkes home where she first met Rhett Butler... This dress definitely says "Garden Party"... to me... What do you think?

My second favorite dress is just called "The Ruffle Dress".. and it was the house dress Scarlett is wearing at the beginning of the movie... "house dress"... ya think?
and here is a link to the University of Texas Harry Ransom Center Web Exhibition to "Gone with the Wind, Costumes and Makeup"...

and as they say in Hollywood... "That's a wrap!"

"Tomorrow is another day...." down here in French Lique...

  3. Oh you are on a roll today! Now I am sad that I wasn't born back then when they wore all those beautiful dresses but I am sure there were enough downsides to make me glad I live now... If none other I would now be dead! Oh fiddle de dee. I will think about it tomorrow!

  5. I think having to wear one of those darn corsets would have been deterrent enough for me! Nice to dream but I think I'd have been one of those country gals in overalls even back then.
