What I did all day long today... on a Pink Saturday in French Lique!

Today I haven't had much of a chance to visit my fellow bloggers Pink Saturday. Mostly I've just visited those that were kind enough to visit me and leave a comment.
I've been a little busy with a little pink task of my own. My #2 daughter and her husband are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in the Church. One of my contributions is the making of her sweet and simple pink invitations to the ceremony.
I found the sweetest Valentine poem on "She's So Pretty" Pink Saturday blog post, and borrowed it for my daughter's invitations (a last minute addition!). The poem perfectly depicted my daughter's marriage to her El Salvadoran hubby.
So, I printed up the poem 2-1/2" x 3" size, cut them out, and we decided to just make them a little "drop in" for the invitation, in case her guests wanted to keep the poem as a memento. They were just the right size for a small frame or a wallet photo slot.

I found the "wedding hands" on the net and stole them... yes, I stole them. They were perfect; they look just like the sweet couple's own hands!

Then got out my handy-dandy Fisker's "slice-n-dice"... well, that's what I call it anyway!

Folded the 50 some-odd invitations by hand with the help of a boning tool...

Laid the little poem inside...

and tied it all up with a pretty pink ribbon... Voila!
here's the poem:
"Because I Love You"
If there were paths to fairyland,
Or paths to the brightest star,
I would turn from them all and go
The road to where you are.
You know, only a woman could do this while blogging Pink Saturday! Mega multi-tasking required here!

Yep, this is what I spent my day doing... just your average crafty day down here in French Lique!
