Goodness! It's Monday already! Time for Blue Monday, hosted graciously by Miss Smiling Sally! To visit Sally, and other bloggers of her Blue Monday, link to Sally's blog here...
Sunday, Ricky and I went to an estate auction in San Marcos, Texas. After looking around a while, and being the losing bidder on a couple of items, I decided I would wander down the road a bit to The Village of Wimberly. There are lots of little shops there that I've never visited... so Sunday was my day for some window shopping.

After looking around a while, and being the losing bidder on a couple of items, I decided I would wander down the road a bit to The Village of Wimberly. There are lots of little shops there that I've never visited... so Sunday was my day for some window shopping.
The first little shop I went into had this pretty little blue robin, which reminded me of Sally's Blue Monday...
A few doors down, I found this cute little blue and white clock... and there it was again... a little birdie reminding me of Sally's Blue Monday...
But when I found these little blue sweethearts... I knew I had to get back home and change my Blue Monday post... because some things are just too kitchy not to share... Feeling a little blue, but in a very good way, down here in French Lique...
What beautiful blue treasures you found! That bird, the clock, and the cute cups are great. laurie
ReplyDeleteDIXIE,
ReplyDeleteYOU KNOW I DIDN'T TELL YOU I USE TO HAVE A VERY DEAR FRIEND NAMED DIXIE AND SHE HAD YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR. OUR CHILDREN WERE CLASSMATES WHEN MY DAUGHTER HAD CANCER AS A CHILD.
ANY WAY I FOUND DIXIE'S TO BE PRETTY SPECIAL LADIES.
I SURE LOVE THOSE TREASURES...THE ROBIN THE MOST. MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE THE BIRDS...MY PARENTS LOVE THE BIRDS....OUR GOLD FINCHES ARE LATE THIS YEAR.
HAVE A WONDERFUL MONDAY.
DID YOU NOTICE I FINALLY FIGURED HOW TO PUT WORDLESS WEDNESDAY IN MY SIDEBAR BUT I JUST NOTICED I DIDN'T ADD...CLICK ON INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU'D LIKE TO ADD YOUR POST.....

Looks like you had fun "blue" shopping. I've got my magpie eye on that cute little bird! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday!
XO,

Ah, I knew you were a good person. I love Duke fans.
ReplyDeleteChristian Laettner was a favorite of ours, too. I also loved Shane Battier and Grant Hill. Each of them still does a lot for the Duke and Durham community.
I love that bluebird in the first picture. Seeing a bluebird always makes my day.
Ha, the blue robin is the best. I almost thought it was real, with it's head cocked the way it is.

I love those mugs!
ReplyDeleteHI Dixie...I'll take the clock and the bluebird. Not the harley mugs, though! I've only been on once and was scared to death the whole time...that loss of control thing..lol. Have a great day...Debbie
