Fall Harvest in French Lique

We got ourselves a little freeze here early Sunday morning. It got down to about 30-degrees (about -1 Celsius) in the wee hours just before dawn... and it didn't stay there long... at 6:30 a.m. when my feet hit the floor it was up to about 38-degrees (on the plus side of Celsius, but I don't know where). The temperature was down there long enough to get the summer squash and the tomatoes (Ricky covered the tomatoes from the frost... but it didn't help with the freeze.)

So early afternoon Sunday, I went out and picked the last of the Summer Squash. This is it. I'm thinking casserole... yummy eatin' down here in French Lique...

ps... I seem to be on a food theme this week. Wonder if it has anything to do with Thanksgiving? Food for thought down here in French Lique!
