I just finished reading
"The Host" by Stephanie Meyer. Stephanie Meyer, the author of the "Twilight" books... you know...
team Edward or
team Jacob...
"The Host" has to be one of the most boring pieces of literature
(if you can call it literature) I've ever read... and as most of you know, I read a lot...and a wide variety....
Not only was
"The Host" boring, it was so far out in left field that I spent much of my time thinking...
"this is weird... it's really-really weird"... It did remind me a lot of the wide berth she took in the final Twilight book,
"Eclipse", my least favorite of the series, where I also kept thinking... "is she really going there?"... and yes... she did and she did it again...
Would I ever recommend this book,
"The Host", to anyone... No! Do I realize that someone, somewhere would probably enjoy this fantastical stroll down Armageddon lane... sure, probably... Will I add it to
"Dixie's Free Library" at work... I suppose I will... and I'll let you know if anyone that reads it, likes it... but I've got a feeling about this one... down here in
French Lique...
